Some Often Asked Questions...
I love to hear from readers and I'm happy to answer your questions (unless it's about helping you get published--please don't ask me that). Usually the questions I get fall into familiar categories, so take a look below and see if yours is there. And even if it is, don't be discouraged from saying hi.
I love your Lukien books! Will there be another one?
No, probably not. It's true that there were plans for another book about Lukien, but that was with my previous publisher, and since I'm no longer with them those plans are no pretty much dead. Sorry!
What are you working on now?
I'm currently working on the sequel to The Bloody Chorus. I should say that, for me, writing is a long and time-consuming process, so I have no real sense of when the new book will be out, but I have some cool ideas for it, and if you liked the first one, you'll dig the sequel!
Can you help me get published?
Sorry, no. A lot of authors have answered this question a lot of different ways, so let me just add this--I couldn't help you if I wanted to. I'm so out of touch with the traditional publishing world now that I literally have no idea how to go about getting a book "published" in that way. I'm not even in touch with any traditionally published authors any more. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try to get published. If that's what you want, you should absolutely try. But I can't help you with it.
What about the Tyrants and Kings books? Will you be writing another one of those?
Possibly. Unlike the Lukien books, the Tyrants and Kings series isn't in any kind of limbo, so I could write and publish another one of those someday. I do have a synopsis for one all written out, and in fact have written the first three chapters of it, so it's one of those things that might happen someday.
Does The Bloody Chorus series have a name?
It does! The series is called Impossible Gods. What do you think? I like it a lot.
